1K SHIELD Multidirectional Carbon Shield

The section of the blank running through the handle, from the butt cup to the first guide, is covered by a 1K SHIELD multidirectional carbon fiber shield. This features 1,000 carbon filaments per square centimeter of blank, resulting in a weight reduction of 50% compared to any other type of cloth, while providing exceptionally high stiffness.

Magma Polymer Technology

This is a resin applied to the pre-preg that enables the creation of a carbon fiber with extremely high resistance to torsion and compression, while simultaneously achieving an unusually lightweight blank. The effectiveness of this new material is based on its polyacrylonitrile resin, which optimizes the characteristics of the carbon fiber.

A.O.S. (AIRrus Over Size System)

This oversized blank section is designed to progressively stiffen the rod in response to the applied load. It provides significant fish-pulling power and minimizes blank deformation during hook-setting, thereby limiting energy loss. Additionally, it effectively dampens tip oscillations after the cast, a crucial factor for increasing both casting distance and precision.

MEGAPHONE EFFECT 2.0

The Megaphone Handle II is free of sound-absorbing materials, transmitting vibrations to the angler’s hand like no cork or EVA grip can. While vibrations travel along the blank, in this case, they invert direction at the internal contact point within the handle, allowing them to flow forward through the grip. We call this phenomenon Reverse Vibration Transfer (RVT). The reel seat is an exclusive AIRrus CUSTOM design, specifically engineered for the Stargate. It represents the culmination of research aimed at fully exposing the blank while maintaining superior ergonomics and performance, allowing the hand to be in total contact with the carbon for maximum sensitivity while fishing.

MULTIMODULUS TECH.: MULTI-MODULUS blanks are made with Pre-preg of different carbon types with varying tapers and thicknesses for each model to ensure the best fishing experience, with every part of the blank able to work harmoniously. The very low resin content, the internal carbon “carbon-scrim” shield, and the extremely thin walls of the blanks generate fishing rods with unparalleled sensitivity compared to conventionally built rods.

Magma Nanochain Resin System: This is an innovative technology that allows the formation of a continuous 3-D structure that precisely aligns polymers on a nanometric scale, suppressing the auto-organization effect where they combine by themselves when polymers are mixed. The effect of this new Airrus Nano-Tube resin is an overall increase in carbon fiber performance in terms of resistance to torsion, compression, and impact, resulting in a lighter yet more powerful rod.
