I’m so happy to announce my upcoming Punch Needle Workshops in Bucharest — a series of cozy, beginner-friendly sessions where you slow down, learn a new skill, and create something beautiful with your hands 💛

Each workshop has its own theme and project, inspired by the season and the moment we’re celebrating.

Today I’m celebrating the courage to create, to try something new, and to follow the things that make us feel alive. 💖

Hi, I’m Seray — the face behind I’m a physicist and a teacher 👩‍🔬, but also someone who loves making things with her hands and turning ideas into something real. ✨

Punch needle has been part of my life for over 10 years. In 2020, I started this journey by sharing my handmade products, and for the past 3 years I’ve been sharing this passion through workshops in Bucharest. Since then, I’ve hosted 14 workshops, 2 intermediate workshops, as well as 1–1 sessions and clubs in schools. 🥹

Yesterday was also International Punch Needle Rug Hooking Day, celebrated by the .rugschool which made this weekend feel even more special – celebrating both the craft I love and the creativity of so many amazing people around the world. 🥰

What started as a hobby has become a way to connect with people, create together, and remind ourselves that we can always learn, make, and grow at any stage of life. 🌟

Today marks Martișor, a beautiful Romanian tradition that celebrates the arrival of spring. On the 1st of March, people offer small handmade tokens tied with a red and white string as a symbol of health, love, and new beginnings. 💖

The red represents strength and vitality, while the white symbolizes purity and fresh starts — together welcoming spring with hope and joy. 🌷

Each of my handmade Martișor pieces is created with care, blending tradition with fiber art and modern design. A small gift, full of meaning. 🥹
