"Buds - Rebirth of Nature"

"Vacaresti formed in the last 22 years a true ecosystem, being an excelent example of how nature regain it rights without any help from men, even among the largest urban areas of the country.
So, we did not want to intervene heavily in this unique natural environment for Bucharest but also for Romania.

Our concept was based on the idea to create a symbol of the park, inspired from the shape of a bud (the symbol of the beginning of spring - rebirth of nature.
At the same time we offered a role in the landscape: to mark the main alley situated in the buffer area that leads to the ponds, which people use today to admire the park, the flora and fauna."

"Using Pablo Picasso’s painting as a starting point in which he obtained a more clear picture and structure we tried to restructure some of the spaces of the hospital courtyard.
Modern life is dominated by imbalances and excesses, which cand lead to diseases.
Making a comparison, in the same way, the painting is an apparent chaos that is dominated by the talent that lays on the base of the idea, representing the genius.We used a variety of shapes for the alleys, different materials, colours and textures inspired by the painting."
