I am thrilled to announce the successful realization of a groundbreaking project in Bucharest. The recently installed solar-powered charging stations for electric bikes and scooters have become a reality, thanks to the remarkable collaboration between EFdeN, Engie, and the Bucharest Lakes, Parks and Leisure Administration (ALPAB), with support from the City Hall.

As CEO of CityDock, I am elated to witness the launch of the "rCharge with green energy" initiative. This pilot project offers a sustainable solution for urban mobility, embodying the principles of environmental consciousness and innovation.

What makes this project truly remarkable is the utilization of CityDock T2 docking stations, which play a pivotal role in enabling the charging process. These cutting-edge docking stations, known for their reliability and efficiency, have empowered the charging infrastructure in Bucharest, revolutionizing the way electric bikes and scooters are powered and encouraging greener transportation options.

The charging stations themselves are built from recycled modular containers, showcasing our commitment to sustainability. The materials used are environmentally friendly, and the interior walls are beautifully finished with wood scraps or recycled wood from pallets and plywood.

📈 Electric bikes have seen a significant surge in sales during the pandemic! 🙌

According to Circana, the U.S. e-bike market grew a staggering 269% between 2019 and 2022, with $885.5 million in sales last year alone. 👏

Despite being more expensive than traditional bicycles, e-bikes outperformed the overall bike market in 2022, with a 14% growth in sales while total bike sales declined by 12%. E-bikes are definitely here to stay! 🚴‍♂️
