The smart phone is the first thing many people turn to in the morning and the last thing at night.
For advertisers worldwide, the mobile is the holy grail of the future, even though one of the best selling apps is the ‘ad blocker’.
Yet the recent campaign for iPhone 6 from Apple, the most successful company in the world, has concentrated their advertising budget on Press, Posters and TV.
Media that every advertising agency is furiously running away from in a fatally misguided attempt to appear more ‘modern’ than their competitor.
Paul Belford from London sums it up…

‘We seem to be living through an unfortunate blip in the world of marketing where most advertising agencies are cynically scrambling to out bu****it each other with all manner of tech gimmicky and scam product innovations masquerading as communication strategies’

It is ironic though that the most innovative tech company, both in hardware and software, chooses to go non digital to advertise the new iPhone 6 for maximum impact.
