We – the Quantum Optics and Optoelectronics Lab, coordinated by Prof. Mona Mihăilescu – were happy to organize a new edition of our annual seminar dedicated to technologies, welcoming the students of the Facultatea de Stiinte Aplicate, Universitatea Politehnica Bucuresti.
The session was held by Dr. Radu Ionicioiu and explored fascinating topics such as quantum entanglement, quantum teleportation, and quantum cryptography – some of the most important directions within the rapidly evolving field of quantum technologies.
Over the past three years, this initiative has become a recurring opportunity for students to interact with researchers and gain deeper insights into one of the most innovative scientific domains today. Through events like this, we continue to support the connection between academic education, advanced research, and future technological development.

The CAMPUS Research Institute was proudly represented by the Students2SPACE Student Lab, coordinated by Cătălin Chelmuș, the NOVA Student Lab for UAV/UAS, coordinated by Octavian Gheorghe Balog and Ioan Marian Corju, together with the Smart and Autonomous Systems Lab, coordinated by Prof. Grigore Cican, at the largest event in the region dedicated to the and exploration, namely , which is organized yearly by Universitatea POLITEHNICA din București.
brought together students, professors, researchers, specialists, and industry professionals in an inspiring environment centered around innovation, exploration, and collaboration. It was a privilege to connect with so many curious minds and share our perspective on how research and technology can create real-world impact beyond the lab.
We had the opportunity to showcase our latest UAV designs and technology and share our experience in student competitions such as participation in the SpacePort America (rockets) or in the Air Cargo Challenge (drones), hopefully motivating young participants to challenge their minds and pursue what seem to be impossible challenges.
The festival also celebrated creativity and education through interactive workshops, experiments, aerospace exhibits, and the “Spațiul Cosmic” (‘Cosmic Space”) drawing and painting competition, where over 1,000 artworks from pupils across Romania were showcased during a special awards ceremony.
Initiatives like continue to create valuable opportunities for connecting academia, research, and industry while inspiring future generations of engineers, researchers, and explorers.
