What does the Enescu Festival mean backstage? How do the artists feel before entering the stage?
This year we propose the special People of Enescu project, where we invite you to discover the human side of the festival and sneak with us into the heart of one of the biggest and most beloved international classical music events.
Episode 2 is dedicated to Maestro Zubin Mehta, the man who is synonymous with excellence in classical music and one of the Festival's closest friends.
Invited in 1964 to the third edition of the festival, the Indian conductor, now 87 years old, has since then been a frequent presence and highly appreciated by the public and musicians in the event's agenda.
We invite you to discover it as seen by its musicians as well as guests in the hall, such as Mr. Victor Rebengiuc or Mrs. Mariana MihuÈ›.

CALEA VICTORIEI Avenue in the night! it becomes a walking area each weekend (closed car traffic), from start of May till end of October! The section from Radisson & Intercontinental to Piata Amzei is really packed with people searching for some specialities: a shrimp burger, a black angus, a Chinese wok, craft beer, best pizza & Ice Cream in town.
