With over 15 years of experience at the forefront of artificial intelligence, Virgil Ilian is a recognised expert in driving innovation where AI technology meets customer experience. His distinguished career blends academic excellence with industry leadership, having held key roles such as Director of AI Products at Jellysmack - a SoftBank-backed unicorn - Senior Research Consultant at NTT DATA, and faculty member at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.

Currently, as Head of Research at IJW, Virgil is shaping the future of AI through a visionary approach to R&D, marked by bold problem-solving and a drive to challenge conventional thinking in emerging technologies.

Renowned as a thought leader, he excels at translating complex AI concepts into scalable, customer-focused solutions that generate real business impact.

With just one day to go until this highly anticipated event, we’re excited to spotlight one of our three remarkable guest speakers: 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂.

Livia is a software engineer at 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲, a 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 𝗜𝗖𝗣𝗖 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘄, and an active contributor to Romania’s tech scene. She’s a member of the 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗖𝗣𝗖 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁.

Before returning to Romania, Livia gained valuable experience through internships at 𝗝𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗭𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵. Beyond her professional achievements, she co-founded the 𝗡𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗡𝗟𝗣 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻. She has shared her expertise as a teacher at both the "Tudor Vianu" National College of Informatics and the University of Bucharest.
