A total of 20 Romanian and international investment funds have received 380 million euros in capital from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) to provide venture capital and private equity financing.

According to data requested from the Ministry of Investments and European Projects (MIPE):

Total PNRR allocation via REF: 380 million euros has been fully allocated to the 20 selected intermediary funds.

Total regional capital attracted: These 20 funds attract over 3 billion euros in total from private and public investors across Europe.

Estimated local deployment: The total investments directed strictly into companies operating in Romania are estimated at around 600 million euros.

The remaining 20 million euros from the initial 400 million euro budget represents a legal reserve for management fees and operating costs of the Recovery Equity Fund (REF) fund of funds. For recently approved vehicles, the fundraising process is still ongoing, and current figures reflect their estimated final sizes.

YellowGrid won the 2025 CleanTech NEXUS program we organized together with PPC Romania and other partners, alongside the Ministerul Energiei - România si Ministerul Energiei al Republicii Moldova to identify solutions capable of accelerating the transition to a decentralized energy system.
