That real change doesn't start with action. It starts with knowing what you actually want.
A well-formed outcome isn't a SMART goal ticked off in a doc. It means knowing precisely what changes, for whom, under what conditions and that the person in front of you genuinely owns it, not just agrees because it sounds right.
In practice, the difference looks like this: a client comes in with:

That's not an outcome, it's a direction. A trained coach helps them get specific: what does better mean to them, what does it look like on a Monday morning, what shifts in the team if they get there.

Coaching is often seen as a โsoft skill.โ In reality, itโs a profession that requires structure and a lot of practice.
A doctor who reads about surgery isn't a surgeon. A coach who reads about coaching isn't a coach.
The difference isn't intention. It's training structured, supervised, practiced in real conversations until it stops being a technique and becomes how you think.
