Today, May 22nd, the Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE) in partnership with the General Confederation of the Romanian Industrial Employers (UGIR 1903) organized a landmark event dedicated to the promotion of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. This meeting brought together members of UGIR 1903, with the aim of highlighting the benefits and applicability of the OECD recommendations in the Romanian context. The discussions focused on aligning with international standards for corporate responsibility and sustainability, thus contributing to the strengthening of Romania’s investment climate and the promotion of responsible economic principles.
During the event, the acting President of ARICE, Doru-Claudian Frunzulică gave a welcoming speech and our colleagues delivered presentations on the benefits of implementing the OECD Guidelines for enterprises and on OECD-aligned due diligence policies.

Rares Burlacu, President of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade is leading a delegation of 25 Romanian companies during an official visit to Slovenia. Today, the president endorsed a meeting between the Romanian entrepreneurs and their Slovenian counterparts, as solid premises for establishing successful partnerships between the two business communities. High-value sectors such as IT&C, trade and manufacturing industries were amongst the key topics covered during discussions. An MoU was signed between the SPIRIT Slovenija, javna agencija and InvestRomania/ARICE, setting new grounds in fostering further development and growth.
