Metropolis Architecture

Hiro bay is a high end restaurant located on the Herastrau Lake that we designed in Bucharest. The concept is all about the fusion between technology and craftsmanship and the way that these two elements blend together, resulting in the creation of a spectacular object that reminds us of a fantastic sea creature imagined in Jules Verne's novels. The ropes, the retractable canopy, the large arches made of laminated wood, outline the image of a deconstructed ship, suggesting an inversion between sky and water. The nautical structure is reimagined into architecture through the genuine architectural typologies related to a water-dominated setting. The arches contribute to a visual and functional division of the serving area, designed in two ways, depending on the layout of the bar and the panoramic potential. Round rotating tables are placed on platforms along the sides of the venue, allowing guests to enjoy both spectacular views of the Herastrau lake and the bar and seating area.

This summer, with our last project, we've reached an important milestone in the entertainment and the architecture field. Natural textures, open air and latest innovation in design, transforms and brings out great energy and cool vibes making Nuba a great experience!
