Deliberate result: bringing to mind a contemporary “weeping icon”. In Vlad Nancǎ’s ‘Salina’, the image of a mineworker, drawn from a mosaic in Vulcan (Hunedoara county), is reinterpreted with an exaggerated, emoji-like tear.
On view now in the exhibition Vlad Nancă: Construction Time Again.
