This initiative is about more than participation. It’s about exposing students to a way of working that is creative, fast-paced, collaborative, and deeply connected to real-world challenges 🌍 It’s about giving them access to professionals who can inspire, guide, and sometimes completely reshape how they see their own future.

In the very first hackathon on a train in Romania, the students who joined were fully integrated into their teams🚀.

What if the school run could become safer, healthier, and less stressful? For everyone.
At the first edition of the hackathon, reimagined one of the most routine but overlooked daily challenges: getting children to school.
Their solution? A trusted neighborhood walking network where one parent walks their own child and safely picks up 1–3 nearby children on the way to school, making school runs organized, community-driven, and rewarding.

Why does this matter?
Because every morning means traffic, rush, and stress:
✔️ Parents lose valuable time
✔️ Children miss opportunities for independence and daily movement
✔️ Cities face unnecessary congestion and CO₂ emissions

Turma offers a smarter alternative:
✔️ Verified parent profiles and school-backed trust
✔️ Live route tracking with pickup and drop-off confirmation
✔️ A reward system that makes active mobility worth it
A new way to rebuild trust and community around schools.

Another idea turned into action in just 48 hours 🚆
We’re excited to share , one of the projects born during the very first edition of .

For two intense days, this amazing team worked, brainstormed, validated, and built, mostly on a moving train. Guided by nearly 20 mentors along the journey, they transformed a real-world problem into a tangible solution:
➡️ Millions of trucks travel across Europe daily
➡️ Many run partially empty
➡️ The result: wasted capacity, higher costs, and unnecessary emissions

CargoLoop (Adriana Moima, Gabriela Caragață, Andrei Gagiu & Laurențiu Toader) tackles this by connecting unused truck capacity with shipping demand in real time, helping logistics become smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable.
