🌍 Five unforgettable days. One incredible experience.

From 22–26 June 2026, students from across Europe came together in Sibiu for the Discover Sibiu – Sport & Culture Summer Experience.

Through sports, cultural activities, teamwork, and shared experiences, participants explored Romanian traditions, built new friendships, and discovered that the best part of any mobility is the people you meet along the way.

Organised by Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu as part of the FORTHEM Alliance, the programme celebrated intercultural learning, collaboration, and community spirit.

Here’s a look back at a week full of memories we’ll cherish for a long time. 💙

The FORTHEM Alliance PhD Network brings together doctoral researchers from all partner universities, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration, exchange, and academic growth in an international, interdisciplinary, and innovation-driven environment.

By joining the network, PhD students have the opportunity not only to connect with fellow early-stage researchers across Europe, but also to actively shape and improve FORTHEM activities dedicated to the doctoral community by sharing their own perspectives and experiences.

Who can join?
Master’s students, PhD students, and other researchers and administrative staff who wish to disseminate information about this initiative within their doctoral schools/research units.
