[SCENARIO TRUE NORTH // GNSS-DENIED ISR]
Location: Venus Beach (Delta Area)
Asset: Orqa MRM2-10 + TrueNorth Navigation Module
Environment: Simulated severe electromagnetic jamming / RF-dark zone.
In a contested airspace, satellites are the first vulnerability. This scenario was built to test a dead spectrum, total GNSS denial.
Upon launch, we deliberately severed all external positioning data. From that millisecond, the True North module took full control of the Orqa platform. Instead of searching for a blocked signal, True North relies on internal architecture to calculate its own spatial reality in real-time. Fully autonomous dead-reckoning.
The Ex*****on: A clean, silent ISR mission. The drone held its flight vector and executed the mission profile strictly on onboard logic, completely immune to electronic countermeasures (ECM). No uplink required. No drift. No hesitation.
Standard platforms drop out of the sky when the spectrum is jammed. True North just does the math and finishes the mission.
GNSS denial is the new baseline. Platforms dependent on external signals are a liability in contested airspace. Remove it from your mission profile. Upgrade your architecture and eliminate the vulnerability.

This is what a TRUE NORTH mission looks like.
Launch from friendly ground. GPS active, systems nominal.
Cross the boundary into denied airspace and keep flying. That is the exact moment standard navigation fails. The GNSS signal drops out, smothered by active jamming. External positioning goes dark. Most commercial platforms would trigger an emergency hover, drift, or initiate a blind return-to-home protocol.
Instead, the True North adapts. The platform continuously reads the terrain, calculates its own position in real-time, and holds the pre-programmed flight path through the contested zone.
The data capture doesn't stop. The mission doesn't abort.
In a jammed environment, the only reliable heading is the one your system can calculate itself.
If your tactical operations require platforms built for contested airspace, let’s discuss how to integrate this level of autonomy into your fleet.

This week we were at OPEX26. Large-scale military exercise. Real operational conditions. Structured scenarios executed in front of end-users who measure performance against actual military requirements.
Skyline Drones was there this week alongside our partners Centum, Diodon, Beyond Vision and YellowScan. Together we covered multiple domains and executed a series of scenarios that reflected the complexity and demands of real operational requirements. Each one had its own logic, its own constraints, and its own set of answers.
Being part of an exercise at this level, alongside armed forces, within a structured military framework, with partners who hold themselves to the same standards puts into perspective what defence technology actually needs to deliver.

That moment on site when the ground data syncs up with the flight plan.
Capturing complex architecture means you can't rely on just one tool. Before the drone goes up to map the upper levels, we always run a quick field scan to ensure our terrestrial data will align perfectly with the upcoming aerial photogrammetry.
Air and ground operations, working in tandem.

Jammed frequencies. Spoofed signals. RF-denied airspace.
Environments designed to make autonomous systems blind.
We spent a long time thinking about what a drone should do in that moment.
Not fail gracefully. Not return to base. Not wait.
Fly. Accurately. Silently. Autonomously.
That's what TRUE NORTH was built for. An onboard navigation module that sees the world through cameras and inertial data, matches it against what it already knows, and keeps moving with no satellites required, no RF emitted, no external dependency of any kind.
Less than 5 meters of error across the entire run.
Proven in the field. Ready for the missions that matter.
This is the beginning of the TRUE NORTH story.
And we're just getting started.

The time has finally come.
For years, we’ve let our aerial inspections speak for us. But running quietly in parallel, our R&D team has been focused on a completely different kind of challenge.
Over the past few days, we finally shared what we’ve been engineering. True North, powered by Skyline Drones, stepped into the public eye for the very first time.
This is a system engineered for the exact moment the world goes dark. Built specifically for GNSS-denied and highly contested environments, True North takes over when satellite signals are jammed, spoofed, or simply vanish. It gives the platform the absolute spatial awareness it needs to survive, navigate, and keep flying completely on its own.
Seeing it perform out there was something else. The photo below captures only a fraction of the team behind it, but what they have managed to engineer is truly formidable.
We’ve kept quiet about this for a long time, but that changes today. We are entering a new chapter where we will finally start unpacking what True North can do in the field, and the sheer grit it took our team to build it.
There is a lot more to tell. Stay tuned.

If a component on your grid is casually running at 280°C, you generally want to know about it before it turns into an unplanned outage. ⚡
Relying on manual, ground-based thermography in a high-voltage environment is restrictive and limits your line of sight. By deploying thermal payloads via UAV, the Skyline Drones team bypasses ground hazards entirely.
You get exact temperature deltas, precise spatial coordinates, and actionable data.
Find the heat, fix the part, keep the grid online. Get in touch with Skyline Drones to schedule your next inspection flight.
