Soooo much is going on in Rwanda Media Programme this week 😀. Journalism students in all our four partner universities have got an introduction both to fact-checking as a journalistic genre and AI for journalists. On group of journalists enjoys a several days training in special reporting about education - an area we think engages the whole society (we all have gone to school... 👩‍🎓). Another group of journalists is learning more about how to report in an ethical and inclusive way about disabilities.

Gender mainstreaming is a big part of Rwanda Media Programme and last Friday we could participate in the event National Dialogue on Gender and Media, arranged by our partner in Kigali. So many good discussions during the day, and it is amazing to see the awareness in gender growing inside the Rwandan media sector.

Mwaramutse! Exciting news from Rwanda Media Programme today. We are searching for several experts to join our next phase in the media viabilty part of the programme this year. Are you an expert in community radio, AI-tools, subsricption models, digital transformation – or anything else connected to media and journalism? Please look at our four different calls in the commentary field. Last day to submit is the 3 of March, and applicants from outside Rwanda are welcome as well. Looking forward to your application!
