Too many young people face big life decisions with no reliable information and no safe space to ask questions. The cost? In Rwanda, 8% 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 aged 15–19 have already begun childbearing (NISR, 2024). Early pregnancy cuts education short and fuels cycles of poverty.

We’re changing that. Dorcas Consolation Family - DCF just launched the 9th Rungano Tubivugeho Club — Friends, Let’s Talk About It — at .

After an ASRH session with 392 students, 165 members stepped forward: 115 girls and 51 boys ready to lead. This club is a peer-led space to bust myths, talk openly about reproductive + mental health, learn rights, and practice confident decision-making.

Here, 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙨 are reclaiming their futures, and 𝙗𝙤𝙮𝙨 are modeling 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮. From menstrual health projects to honest dialogue, members learn to own their 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨, choices, and voices.

Following a capacity-building training provided by Woven Foundation, Dorcas Consolation Family - DCF staff successfully conducted a 2-day Training of Trainers (ToT) for key community actors to cascade the knowledge and skills acquired.

Participants included School ASRH Club Mentors, ECD Caregivers/Educators, and Parasocial Workers. The training aimed to equip them with comprehensive knowledge of human rights and strengthen their capacity to support and educate their communities as Human Rights Defenders.

For participants who were new to the concept, the training provided foundational understanding, while also creating space for experience sharing and practical learning based on real-life situations they encounter daily.

Together, we are building a network of informed and empowered individuals committed to promoting dignity, equality, and justice in their communities.
