Lust 4 life

The network of motorcycle riders in the Arabian peninsula is mindblowing. There are groups everywhere and they all know each other. The brotherhood and sisterhood, the help and hospitality for any traveller, the friendship, is something I lived everyday for months.

One of the groups I met is Saudi Riders. Such a cool bunch of friends riding together! They invited and welcomed me in Riyadh in their club house with joy, food and one huge amazing fruits basket.

And the most important for me, SONIA. She is the only girl in the group and RIDES A BIG BMW 1300 GS. She rides like an Amazona and is so smart and beautiful that nobody can't pass without observing her.

She is and will always be the first Saudi lady who gave me a pin on my jacket. Proud and happy for it, we're still in touch sometimes and hopefully we'll meet again!

I met Jamilla on a group of Saudi lady riders. She invited me to stay with her and I joined her gladly. We stayed together 2 weeks in her beautiful big Arabic style house just outside the city. She is a dentist and rides a BMW.

We spent a lot of time together, went in the park to do sport, went hiking, swimming at a gym, went in malls, cooked and ate togeher.

She showed me her version of life of a Saudi woman.

One day she told me one phrase: 'I didn't leave Saudi because the life for women is good and I have everything I need'. Yes, I've seen the way Arabian women enter rooms like queens and I've felt their power in different situations.

Above all, we shared our so different experiences and cultures. Many questions have been asked and answered in many hours of talking. The feminine spirit has bounded us.

The best way to learn and understand different life aspects is through the eyes of the others.

I also must declare myself more and more interested in the feminine side of this world. I search for women, I want their presence, I want to witness and listen more and more about their life, stories, education, thoughts and feelings.

It may be a men's world everywhere out there, but it would be nothing without a woman or a girl.
