Creativity, teamwork and engineering skills were on full display in ASDβs upper elementary art classes! π¨ποΈπ
After studying architecture, students took on a hands-on design challenge: build the tallest tower possible using recycled materials while making sure it was strong enough to hold the weight of an apple on top.
Working in teams, students explored balance, structure and problem-solving through collaboration and creative thinking. The activity encouraged innovation while reinforcing the importance of sustainability and design in architecture.
From brainstorming ideas to testing their final structures, students showed outstanding engagement, perseverance and teamwork throughout the challenge. πβ»οΈ

ππͺ Innovation is taking off in STEM class as students work on an exciting mega project: designing and building a three-dimensional colony on Mars.
As they create their colonies, students are exploring the major differences between Earth and Mars, including climate, atmosphere, gravity and living conditions to design spaces that support safety, comfort, entertainment and a high quality of life for future residents.
Through research, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving, students are bringing their visions of life on Mars to reality with detailed 3D models. ππ¬β¨
