DON'T OPPRESS OTHERS, PAY YOUR DUES & EMPLOYEES, BE HONEST IN BUSINESS

It is narrated that Mu`adh ibn Jabal said,

"The Qur`an will become worn out in the hearts of a people just like a garment becomes worn out and is ruined, they will read it but they shall feel no desire towards it nor any sweetness. They are but wolves in sheep’s clothing, their deeds are in greed without any fear (of Allah). If they fall short they say ‘We shall attain [salvation]’ and if they fall into sin they say ‘WE SHALL BE FORGIVEN (as) WE DO NOT COMMIT SHIRK WITH ALLAH.

FASTING ON A SATURDAY? :

Summary:

1) Scholars who outrightly prohibited it are incorrect and form an academic minority in this view [latest e.g albani r.h and other hanafi scholars of the sub continent]

2) MAJORITY of the salaf permitted it as long as you combine a day before or after it. From bayhaqi to timirdhi and ibn khuzayma etc.

3) Many classical & later giants like Malik, zuhri, ibn hazam and IT permitted fasting on a saturday by itself saying either the prohibition hadith is mudtarib [like nasai said] or abrogated (like imam abu dawood said) or the fear out of which that command was given during the prophet's life time is no longer present today [as explained by maliki scholars explaining al-muwatta]

Conclusion: life's short. For many, full of stress and hardship, so use the leniency as argued by some scholars, use the fast as waseelah for our sins and have faith in allah's mercy to accept our fast.
