As part of the “City Economies Series Initiative”, IMA Riyadh Chapter, in collaboration with Madinaty Office - Riyadh Municipality, Al Salam Branch, successfully hosted an insightful session discussing the role of financial derivatives in the Saudi market and their growing importance within the Kingdom’s evolving financial ecosystem.

The session highlighted how Riyadh is rapidly positioning itself to become one of the world’s Top 10 city economies by 2030, driven by the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030, economic diversification, capital market development, and financial innovation.

The discussion focused on the strategic impact of derivatives markets in enhancing risk management, market efficiency, liquidity, and investment sophistication — all of which are essential components of a globally competitive economy.

Last Wednesday, the IMA Riyadh Chapter Board Members came together for a highly productive and engaging meeting.

We were delighted to officially welcome our new Chapter President, Mr. Hakam Kadour CA CMA CSCA , and we look forward to a new phase of leadership and growth ahead.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed and aligned on the action plan for the remaining period of the current term, focusing on impactful initiatives and value-driven activities for our members and the professional community.
