Mohammed Ahmed Elmahadi as both a visual artist and a researcher, found interest in the living memory to certain groups of the Nuba mountains which is passed down through the generations as consequence of the strong social fabric. The memory manifests in their imagination sourced from the visual imagery of their bodily movement in open spaces of ritual practices. Elmahadi's collection is the artist's attempt to paint a visual version of that imagination which recreates intense bodily movement and patterns as they practice the rituals using their bodies as an expressive tool.

Elmahadi's exhibition includes paintings, installations, photography, and painting on prints which most were sponsored by Elmahadi's studio and art center initiative "MALAM" and its supporters.

A live performance piece will also associate the inauguration of the exhibition on:

محمد احمد المهدي كفنان بصري و باحث، وجد اهتمام وفضول عالي في الذاكرة الحية لمجموعات معينة في جبال النوبة، و التي يتم تناقلها عبر الاجيال كنتيجة للنسيج القوي للمجتمع. تتمثل الذاكرة في تخيلاتهم المستلهمة من الصورة البصرية لحركة اجسادهم في المساحات المفتوحة لممارسة الاسبار. مجموعة المهدي هي محاولة الفنان لرسم نسخة بصرية لما في مخيلتهم و التي تحفز زخم حركي جسدي و زخارف و هم يمارسون اسبارهم باستخدام اجسادهم كا وسيلة للتعبير.

معرض المهدي يشمل لوحات، أعمال تركيبية/مفاهيمية، صور فوتوغرافية، تلوين على مطبوعات، و التي معظمها تم تمويلها عبر استوديو و مركز الفنون "ملم" و معاوننه.

عرض مباشر سوف يصاحب افتتاح المعرض في يوم:
