🗳️🤞🏻GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL 🤞🏻🗳️
Wishing all my brilliant Conservative colleagues who are standing in the elections for a seat on Southend City Council tomorrow, all the very best of luck tomorrow. đź’™
I have worked & campaigned alongside everyone of them & I can honestly say they are all outstanding. In particular, they are all great team players and very committed to supporting their communities.
In these uncertain times you need good people who you can trust to put you, your family, your community & Southend first. I can personally vouch that every single Conservatives candidate will do this.
Above all, remember, local elections are all about what will happen locally!

Yesterday there was a vote in the House of Commons on whether Sir Kier Starmer should be referred to the Privileges Committee for misleading Parliament in relation to the statements he made to Parliament in relation to the appointment of Mandelson.
That Sir Keir Starmer did mislead Parliament has been shown clearly by the evidence given before the Foreign Affairs select committee by Sir Ollie Robbins & yesterday by Sir Philip Barton, firstly in relation to saying due process was followed (it plainly wasn’t) and, secondly, in relation to saying no pressure was put on the FCDO by No10 when both witnesses said it plainly was.
Yesterday, every Labour MP faced a matter of conscience. Back Sir Keir Starmer’s cover up, or allow Parliament to seek the truth in the same way the privileges committee investigated Boris Johnson in 2022.
It is very disappointing that David Burton-Sampson MP voted to allow his hypocritical, incompetent Leader to avoid the scrutiny he so vociferously called for against Boris Johnson in 2022.
Despite all his faults, unlike “Mr Rules” Starmer, Boris did not oppose the referral to the privileges committee, nor did he whip any of his MP’s or Government ministers to oppose the referral. The vote went through on the “nod” ie no Conservative MP, like me, voted against, as we could all see that such a referral was warranted.
Sir Keir Starmer’s behaviour in a) refusing to correct the record & b) whipping his MP’s to save his own skin is disgraceful & David’s acquiescence with Starmer’s cover up is shameful & lets us all down.
Just another sheep supporting an incompetent shepherd. If Starmer had nothing to hide, why not agree to the referral like Boris did & avoid putting all his MP’s in the invidious position of looking like complete clowns in front of their constituents?
