✨ A breath of fresh Air.

Tonight I met Elisabeth — Mats’ mother-in-law — the guardian of my painting “Air.” None of us could have planned it. The moment was effortless, full of warmth and quiet laughter, as if the universe exhaled through us.

After a long stretch of heaviness, this evening felt like a turning point, a reminder that beauty still finds its way in, even when life feels tight and gray. A breath of fresh air when the world had felt oppressive and sad.

🌬️ Sometimes art travels through others just to return and remind you who you are.

From the Elements Series

Painted in Mörlunda while my daughter Khloee sketched beside me in the old church studio. Air is one of four elemental works: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. Each explores illusion and awakening, Maya and Samsara, the motion between what is seen and what is unseen.

The Geisha is my mirror from another life. She rides the zebra, a living paradox of duality, order, and dream. The serpent appeared uninvited. I painted it in, then cut off its head as an act of reclaiming balance.

Years passed and Air followed its own current, traveling through others’ hands. Like the element itself, it drifted back into my life. I never expected to see it again, yet here it is, breathing still.

I am an Aquarius.
Maybe that is why the wind always brings my work home.
