[ PREDICTABLE ALGORITHMS & IRRATIONAL HUMANS ] The future is humanistic. During Covid we’ve seen what happens with us when our physical connections are reduced.

Algorithms are patterns and predictability, humans are often irrational, run by emotions, even though we want to think of ourselves as rational.

To what extent are we streamlining our lives? Let me give you an everyday example.

I was looking into buying new sneakers. Very quickly the algorithms in my phone picked up that I liked Nike + which colour. It is convenient and disturbing at the same time.

-What happens when my whole digital life becomes streamlined?

I’m wondering how the human brain will develop when we are being so served? I don’t even remember the phone number to friends, as I used to do before, because the number is saved in my phone and I just press a button to call.

-Will it be so, that all boring , mechanical things will be replaced with AI and we humans can focus on thriving and developing our passions in life?

-Will it be so, that when technology is just the tool to help us in our everyday lives, we will stop talking so much about tech itself and start focusing on the deeper meanings of what it means to be human, how to connect deeper, to care more for each other and the planet?
