Worldish breaks language barriers in healthcare through its' digital communication tool called 'Helen'.

03/07/2026

A nurse asks a question. The interpreter translates it. But did the patient hear what was actually meant? The patient and interpreter are right now having a back-and-forth discussion. It also sounds like an argument between them. The nurse wonders if what was interpreted is exactly what he or she meant🤔

Language barriers are one of the BIGGEST challenges in global healthcare 🌍

And even when interpreters are available, there's a hidden problem:

❌ Medical jargon gets lost in translation
❌ No way to review if the message was delivered correctly
❌ Staff simply have to trust that it was

That's the problem we set out to solve at Worldish 💙

With Helen AI Assistant, healthcare staff can now communicate with patients in their own language — using quality-assured medical content.

✅ Staff see exactly what's being communicated
✅ No guesswork, no blind trust
✅ Safer care, better quality
✅ Patients who actually understand their treatment

We'd love your input as we keep improving Helen! 🙌

Worldish had a fantastic board meeting last week in Stockholm together with Burmeister and Alireza Etemad.

We discussed the broader vision of Worldish in improving patient safety, quality of care, and reducing healthcare inequalities.

Helen Assistant, our product, has positioned itself as one of the most advanced tools in its class for solving language barriers in healthcare. But we are now preparing to take major steps forward — not only in overcoming language barriers, but also in making healthcare safer and more accessible for people around the world.

Global healthcare continues to face many challenges, whether it is a lack of competence, limited infrastructure, unequal access to care, or rising healthcare costs. With the experience and proven track record we have built through Helen Assistant, Worldish is committed to taking meaningful steps toward addressing these global challenges by developing sustainable solutions and contributing to a more equal world.

Our board has been extremely supportive and creative in discussing strategies for the next phase of our global expansion.

Stay tuned for more updates!

As promised last week, here’s an update on our customer success in Brussels.

We are proud to announce that we have signed a customer contract with CHU Saint-Pierre / UMC Sint-Pieter. 🎉 Following a comprehensive pilot of Helen Assistant across 12 departments, we gathered strong evidence on improvements in clinical safety, healthcare processes, quality of care, and reduction of cost connected to using our medically-trained AI medical interpreter, Helen Assistant, especially in situations involving language barriers. 🌍💬

We are delighted to welcome CHU Saint-Pierre to the Worldish family and look forward to continuing our collaboration in enabling safer, more equal care for all patients. 🤝

We are truly inspired by the commitment of the management team, who are leading from the front in adopting technology to improve care delivery. 🚀

Helen Assistant will be used alongside existing interpretation services, complementing and strengthening communication across the hospital. 🏥
With Brussels being home to over 200 languages and diverse cultural backgrounds, addressing language barriers is essential. 🌐 As one of the most international cities in Europe, and with CHU Saint-Pierre serving a large part of its population, this initiative plays a crucial role in improving patient care.

For years, healthcare professionals at CHU Saint-Pierre have faced challenges due to language barriers. With Helen Assistant, staff are now better equipped to overcome these challenges and deliver safer, more effective care. 💡

A sincere thank you to Philippe Vandenbergh, Caroline De Voecht
Evelyn Vass and Léo Foucher for your support in achieving this milestone.

We look forward to continuing our work together and generating even more impact in patient safety and quality of care. CHU Saint-Pierre sets a strong example for public healthcare institutions across Europe by adopting state-of-the-art AI solutions like Helen Assistant to address language barriers. 🌟🚀
