Hey kids!

There’s a new day dawning over here at the Freedom camp. As always there’s good news and bad news so let’s start with the good.
A THIRD Freedom album is in the works and boy oh boy it will be a hot rockin mess that will make your speakers bleed and your moms divorce your dads. More on that later..

Bad news is this album will not feature Matte Gustafsson or Mangel as full time members of the group. Long story short: they left the band.
I’m wont go into details about the how’s and why’s but let’s just say that I love my dudes very much and wish them nothing but happiness in this world.

Matte & Mangel - Thank you for being part of the Freedom saga. I salute you both! 🫡❤️⚡️

Our friend Hanna has left this world.

I remember standing outside the venue right before we did our first ever show nervous as hell when a taxi pulled up and a woman jumped out wearing a Freedom T-shirt with the biggest smile on her face. She told us how much she loved our music and how excited she was to be at our first ever show. I think that was the first time I realized that our music had the power to make people truly happy and I’ve carried that with me ever since. Because that’s all that matters. That’s the power of music.

When Hanna got sick she decided to make a podcast about it and asked if she could use ”Breathe” and the intro music. Honored I said yes of course!
I followed her journey and heard her speak about her demise with such courage that I can’t help but think it’s made me a stronger person for having witnessed it, even from afar. She would send me messages from time to time asking about the songs and what they meant and one day she sent me a photo of her new tattoo. Wow. I mean, wow. No words.

I still think about her sometimes when I’m nervous before a show and I hear this voice in my head saying ”whatever happens tonight you’ve made people happy, so enjoy”

Thank you for that Hanna, and all my love to your family and close ones.
