🌍In today's world, marked by health crises, wars, and environmental challenges, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) has become increasingly important. SEL, defined as the process of managing emotions, building relationships, and making responsible decisions, is gaining recognition worldwide as a crucial component of education.
💥 Yet, it is often absent from formal curricula.
In collaboration with the Networking to Integrate SDG 4.7 and SEL Skills into Education Materials (NISSEM), UNESCO-IBE’s latest paper explores the significance of SEL in driving global educational transformation. This report calls for ambitious policies that align with UNESCO's Futures of Education framework and the vision of the UN's Transforming Education Summit, emphasizing hybrid and flexible learning models for sustainable education. 📚

The European Commission released new guidelines focusing on integrating mental health and social-emotional education in schools.
