President Julius Maada Bio has said Sierra Leone remains committed to attracting credible investors to its aviation sector following discussions with a global aviation executive.
The President made the remarks after a meeting with Hassan El-Noury, Executive Chairman of Menzies Aviation.
In a statement shared after the engagement, President Bio described the meeting as productive, noting that discussions focused on promising investment opportunities within Sierra Leone’s aviation industry.
He said the government is keen on partnering with reputable international companies to strengthen airport services, improve operational standards, and support growth in air transport.
The President added that attracting serious investors remains a key part of the government’s broader strategy to modernise infrastructure, boost connectivity, and create economic opportunities.
Menzies Aviation is a global provider of airport services, operating in several countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
The meeting forms part of President Bio’s ongoing engagements with international business leaders as Sierra Leone seeks to position itself as an attractive destination for private sector investment.
