After months of 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴,

We are thrilled to officially launch 𝗧𝗘𝗞𝗜-𝗦𝗟 (𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲)💡a program designed to equip young minds and create opportunities for growth and Grit mindset.

📍 For months, this vision has been taking shape, 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵. Witnessing firsthand the gap between theoretical education and the practical skills needed for today's workforce, I was inspired to create TEKI-SL.

📍In Sierra Leone, many young people, despite earning their degrees, are unprepared for the demands of the modern job market. 𝚃̲𝚑̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚎̲𝚍̲𝚞̲𝚌̲𝚊̲𝚝̲𝚒̲𝚘̲𝚗̲ ̲𝚜̲𝚢̲𝚜̲𝚝̲𝚎̲𝚖̲,̲ ̲𝚠̲𝚑̲𝚒̲𝚕̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚜̲𝚝̲𝚛̲𝚒̲𝚟̲𝚒̲𝚗̲𝚐̲ ̲𝚏̲𝚘̲𝚛̲ ̲𝚙̲𝚛̲𝚘̲𝚐̲𝚛̲𝚎̲𝚜̲𝚜̲,̲ ̲𝚐̲𝚛̲𝚊̲𝚙̲𝚙̲𝚕̲𝚎̲𝚜̲ ̲𝚠̲𝚒̲𝚝̲𝚑̲ ̲𝚕̲𝚒̲𝚖̲𝚒̲𝚝̲𝚎̲𝚍̲ ̲𝚝̲𝚎̲𝚌̲𝚑̲𝚗̲𝚘̲𝚕̲𝚘̲𝚐̲𝚢̲ ̲𝚒̲𝚗̲𝚝̲𝚎̲𝚐̲𝚛̲𝚊̲𝚝̲𝚒̲𝚘̲𝚗̲,̲ ̲𝚒̲𝚗̲𝚊̲𝚍̲𝚎̲𝚚̲𝚞̲𝚊̲𝚝̲𝚎̲ ̲𝚛̲𝚎̲𝚜̲𝚘̲𝚞̲𝚛̲𝚌̲𝚎̲𝚜̲,̲ ̲𝚊̲𝚗̲𝚍̲ ̲𝚌̲𝚞̲𝚛̲𝚛̲𝚒̲𝚌̲𝚞̲𝚕̲𝚊̲ ̲𝚝̲𝚑̲𝚊̲𝚝̲ ̲𝚍̲𝚘̲𝚗̲'̲𝚝̲ ̲𝚊̲𝚕̲𝚠̲𝚊̲𝚢̲𝚜̲ ̲𝚊̲𝚕̲𝚒̲𝚐̲𝚗̲ ̲𝚠̲𝚒̲𝚝̲𝚑̲ ̲𝚒̲𝚗̲𝚍̲𝚞̲𝚜̲𝚝̲𝚛̲𝚢̲ ̲𝚗̲𝚎̲𝚎̲𝚍̲𝚜̲.̲ This skills gap contributes to the concerning rates of youth unemployment and underemployment, hindering potentials.

To bridge the skills gap by providing 𝗳̲𝗿̲𝗲̲𝗲̲,̲ ̲𝗽̲𝗿̲𝗮̲𝗰̲𝘁̲𝗶̲𝗰̲𝗮̲𝗹̲,̲ ̲𝗹̲𝗲̲𝗮̲𝗿̲𝗻̲𝗶̲𝗻̲𝗴̲ ̲𝗼̲𝗽̲𝗽̲𝗼̲𝗿̲𝘁̲𝘂̲𝗻̲𝗶̲𝘁̲𝗶̲𝗲̲𝘀̲ ̲𝘁̲𝗵̲𝗮̲𝘁̲ ̲𝗴̲𝗼̲ ̲𝗯̲𝗲̲𝘆̲𝗼̲𝗻̲𝗱̲ ̲𝘁̲𝗵̲𝗲̲𝗼̲𝗿̲𝘆̲ and empower participants with the tools to do more.

📍𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱

TEKI-SL was born from a personal drive to address these challenges. Inspired by my experiences in international programs, I realized that we needed a tailored, accessible solution.

📍Over the past few months, we’ve built a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver structured, high-quality training. And this is just the beginning—with plans to launch a mobile app and have in-person sessions by next year, learning will become even more accessible to learners across the country.

We aim to extend our reach to Teenagers and adolescents in coming years, introduce even more programs, and cultivate a community of innovators and professionals ready to shape Sierra Leone’s future. This is more than just a learning program.
