Today marks two incredible years since we started our journey as a nonprofit in March 2024. What began as a shared vision has grown into a mission driven by compassion, community, and hope. Over the past 2years, we have made meaningful strides in empowering young people and supporting vulnerable members of our community.
📚 School Outreach Programs
We have conducted several outreach sessions in schools, sensitizing students on critical issues such as teenage pregnancy, high school dropout, and drug abuse helping young people make informed decisions about their future.
🤝 Community Outreach
Last year, we held our first community outreach program in Wellington, Freetown, where we visited Kush (drug) victims. During this program we:
• Sensitized participants on the negative impacts of drug abuse
• Provided food and refreshments
• Created a supportive space where individuals felt seen, valued, and encouraged
• Shared a powerful message: "It is never too late to get clean and rebuild your life"
🎒 Supporting Education
Education remains at the heart of our mission. Over the last two years, we have provided school materials to more than 20 senior secondary school students in Freetown and also supported a primary school in the Western Area Rural with essential learning supplies.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication and belief of many people.
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to:
• Our Founder, Umu Salamata Jalloh whose vision and leadership continue to guide us
• Our team members and volunteers, who work tirelessly behind the scenes
• Everyone who donated and supported our work last year
Your support is what keeps this mission alive. As we look ahead, one of our biggest goals is to become financially self-sustainable so we can expand our impact and reach even more young people and communities in need.
If you would like to support our work and help us continue creating positive change, please consider making a donation.

The school materials donation project was successfully carried out with one clear goal: to support learning and restore confidence in young minds.
Through this outreach, we engaged secondary school pupils not only by providing essential educational materials, but by reminding them that they are seen, valued, and capable of more than their present circumstances may suggest. Education remains one of the strongest tools for change, and access to basic learning resources can make a lasting difference in a child’s academic journey.
Beyond the donations, we took time to speak with the students. We encouraged them to approach their studies with seriousness and discipline, to stay away from drug abuse, and to make choices that protect their future. The message was simple and honest: focus, self-belief, and consistency matter.
This project reflects our commitment to empowering young people through education, guidance, and presence. It is not just about what we give, but about the hope we help to restore and the paths we help to open.
We remain grateful to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success, and we look forward to doing even more for the next generation.

A Leader Whose Impact Speaks Beyond Borders.
The recent feature of our Chief Executive Officer, , is both a moment of pride and a reminder of what purposeful leadership looks like. Her journey reflects discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to service, qualities that continue to shape the vision and direction of the
Born and raised in Sierra Leone, rose through social and cultural barriers that often limit access to education, particularly for girls. Her academic path, from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana to Arizona State University and now Rowan University, stands as clear evidence of what determination paired with opportunity can achieve. Her work in biomedical engineering, especially in research aimed at improving bone regeneration, places her among a growing group of Africans contributing meaningfully to global science and health.
Beyond her academic and professional excellence, what sets Umu Salamata jalloh apart is her resolve to give back. In founding the potential empowerment network, she transformed personal experience into collective action. PEN addresses school dropout challenges and supports young people, especially girls, to see education not as a distant hope but as a practical path forward. Under her leadership, empowerment is not spoken of in abstract terms but practiced through mentorship, outreach, and consistent engagement.
To us as a team, her story is both motivating and instructive. It reminds us that leadership is not defined by titles alone, but by service, clarity of purpose, and the courage to build systems that uplift others. To the wider world, her work offers a strong example of how African leadership, grounded in integrity and vision, can drive lasting change across borders.
We celebrate this recognition not only as an honour to her, but as encouragement to every young person watching closely. Her journey affirms that impact is possible when knowledge meets compassion, and when success is measured by how many lives are strengthened along the way.
