Meeting | National Protected Area Authority NPAA

Today we had the honor to engage the newly appointed Executive Director of the National Protected Area Authority.

Discussion was centered around our ongoing collaboration for the sustainable protection and management of Protected Areas, with special focus on the Freetown Restoration Project (FreetownTheTreetown III).

🌱🌱🌱The Project aims to plant 100,000 trees. Of these, 20,000 trees will target watershed restoration and 80,000 trees will target wetland restoration. So far, about 50% of the planting have been completed.

The Executive Director of NPAA reaffirms their support for the project.

"We value partnership. Because we can only achieve so much when we work together. It is a good thing that YARDO-SL and NPAA have a long established relationship. I will ensure we solidify this so we can achieve our collective mission of protecting our environment" Mr Tunis said

This activity is part of the Freetown Restoration Project (FreetownTheTreetown III) funded by the Global Development Network through the JSDF with support from the World Bank and Government of Japan.
