OPERATION NEEDY CHILD EMPOWERMENT (ONCE) REPORT – EMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH KINGTOM – FREETOWN
REPORTING PERIOD – JANUARY 2024 – OCTOBER 2024
Summary report for the ONCE project of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kingtom. We want to give thanks to God Almighty for the support received and this has been valuable and of immense help towards the education of the children in the church. The Church remains grateful and continues to pray for more blessings.
PROGRESS REPORT
The academic year progress for the supported children includes the following:
Nina Kanu – Nina is now 22 years old and was successful in her year one exams last year and has now completed her exams as well in year two of her course of study in International Relations at Fourah Bay College – University of Sierra Leone. Nina is doing well as she regularly attends church services and is a member of the Girls Auxiliary and is regular in meetings as well.
Hadiru Kalokoh – Hadiru is now in (Senior Secondary School Commercial 3) the examination stage for the WASSCE. Hadiru will have to resit the exams again this year because he did not get the requirement for entry into College and University. Hadiru is attending the Government Senior Secondary School. Hadiru regularly attends church services. Hadiru is 21 years old.
Rebecca Samura – Rebecca is now in year two of her studies in Business Administration at the Milton Margai Technical University. Rebecca’s church attendance fluctuates and only attends on the first Sundays of every month – this is due to the relocation of her family to Grafton. Rebecca is 23 years and is doing well.
Elizabeth Vandi – Elizabeth has slowly made her way through Secondary schooling. Elizabeth now attends the Methodist Girls High School and is in Senior Secondary School 3 and will take the general exams next year. Elizabeth regularly attends Sunday services as well as children’s church meetings. Elizabeth is 17 years old and is doing well physically.
Arabella J. Turay – Arabella is now 14 years old and is attending the Saint Joseph Convent School and is in Junior Secondary School 3. Arabella is is doing well in school will have to take her junior high school exams next year for entry into Senior High School. Arabella regularly attends church services and children’s church meetings.
Josephine Ganda – Josephine is now in Secondary school and attending Saint Joseph’s Secondary School and now in Senior Secondary School 3. Josephine will take her high Senior High school examinations next year. Josephine is now 16 years old and doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Alice Koroma – Alice has been very successful in her Senior High school exams and was successfully admitted into the Institute of Public Administration and Management – University of Sierra Leone and she is in Year 1. Alice is 19 years old; doing well in College and regularly attends church services and is part of the discipleship program of the Girl’s Auxillary.
Lydia F. Dumbuya – Lydia is attending the National Pentecostal Secondary School and is now in Senior Secondary School 3. She will be taking her Senior High School Examination in May 2025. Lydia is now 15 years old and doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Alpha Kamara - Alpha is now in Primary Class 6. Alpha is attending the Police Primary School. Alpha is doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Tennesia Kargbo - Tennesia has now successfully gone through senior high school and is now in year 1 of her course at the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. Tennesia is 17 years old and she is doing well in college and regularly attends church services and other church functions.
Joshua Mansaray - Joshua is 17 years old now and in Senior Secondary School 2 and is attending the Hastings Secondary School. Joshua is doing well in school and only attends church services on the first Sundays of the month because his family relocated to Hastings.
Isha Moseray - Isha is now Senior Secondary School 1 and is attending the Vine Memorial Secondary School. Isha is now 16 years old and doing well in school and regularly attends church services as well as the discipleship program of the church.
Winner Thullah – Winner is now in Junior Secondary School 3 and will be taking her exams for entry into Senior school next year. Winner is attending the Vine Memorial Secondary School. Winner is 15 years old; doing well in school and regularly attends church services and discipleship.
Marina Kamara – Marina is now in Junior Secondary School 3 and will be taking her exams for entry into Senior school next year. Marina is attending the Saint Joseph Convent Secondary School. Marina is 14 years old; doing well in school and regularly attends church services, the Girls Auxillary and the Discipleship program.
Hawa Koroma – Hawa is now in Junior Secondary School 3 and will be taking her Junior high school exams next year. Hawa is attending the Vine Memorial Secondary School. Hawa is 13 years old; doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Alfred Kalokoh - Alfred is now 14 years old and was successful in his Primary exams and is now in Junior Secondary School 1. Alfred is now attended a special needs school to cater for his disability. Alfred is doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Sarah Lamboi – Sarah is now in Junior Secondary School 1. Sarah is attending the Vine Memorial Secondary School after her success in her primary school exams and is now 10 years old and is doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Victoria Ruth Davies - Victoria is in Senior Secondary School 2 and is now attending the Methodist Girls High School and she is 16 years old and is doing well in school and regularly attends church services. Victoria is part of the Girls Auxillary and discipleship programs.
Hannah K. Samura - Hannah is now in Senior Secondary School 3 and will take her Senior high school exams next year. Hannah is 14 years old and she is attending the Government Secondary School. Hannah is doing well in school and regularly attends church services and the Girls Auxillary Discipleship program
Emmanuel Smith – Emmanuel is now in Senior Secondary School 3 and will take the Senior High school exams next year and he is 14 years old and is attending the Saint Edwards School. Emmanuel is doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Ibrahim Turay – Ibrahim is now Senior Secondary school 2 and attending the Government Model Secondary School. Ibrahim is 19 years old and doing well in school and attends church services only on the First Sundays of every month because his family relocated to another community.
Kadiatu Kargbo - Kadiatu is now in Class 6 and she is attending the Police Primary School. Kadiatu is 12 years old and she is doing well in school and regularly attends church services.
Allieu Mansaray - Allieu continues his excellent work at the church in the Royal Ambassadors Discipleship program for young boys and girls as well as the communication and media team of the church. Alie is responsible for the attendance register and the meetings of these support boys and girls.
Allieu is coping and excelling and he is presently a teaching assistant at Fourah Bay College – University of Sierra Leone. He is regular in church and continues his fine support and participation as a chorister.
