Scansom
SCAN is working and assist the needy and neglected people at grass root level and find access to sustain in the society with due dignity.
This is Faysal, a beneficiary of our climate-smart project, who shares a compelling account of how this project has transformed his farming. Due to climate change, finding water became increasingly difficult. Hand-dug wells had to be excavated deeper, and relying on rainwater proved unsustainable because of prolonged droughts. As a result, many farmers, including Faysal, abandoned their agricultural production.
However, our climate-smart project gave him both the motivation and the opportunity to restart his farming—using our support as the foundation for his renewed agricultural journey. Faysal learned innovative farming techniques and received essential tools and seeds. Now, he is reaping the rewards of his hard work, with renewed optimism and a vision to expand his farm.

☘️Empowering Farmers for Sustainable Agriculture 🌱
This week, we had the privilege of training farmers in the vibrant villages of Agamse, Huluuq, Arabsiyo, and Biyo Macaan. Our focus was on tackling one of the most pressing challenges in tomato and cabbage production" insect infestations".
Through practical sessions and interactive discussions, we explored strategies to identify, manage, and prevent insect damage, ensuring healthier crops and better yields. It's always inspiring to see the dedication of farmers who work tirelessly to sustain their communities and livelihoods.
This project was funded by WFP and implemented by Scansom.
