BREAKING | Former South West State President Accuses Turkey of Airstrikes Near Baidoa.

Former South West State President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Lafta Gareen), who was removed from office by Somalia's Federal Government and is currently in Nairobi, Kenya, has accused Turkey of carrying out airstrikes in areas surrounding Baidoa.

In a statement posted on his official social media accounts, Lafta Gareen claimed that Turkish F-16 fighter jets participated in airstrikes during what he described as a military offensive led by Somalian President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

He alleged that the strikes caused civilian casualties, injuries, and destruction of property, while calling on Turkey to reconsider its military involvement in Somalia.

Lafta Gareen also urged the United Nations, African Union, IGAD, the Arab League, and the international community to investigate the alleged attacks and support efforts to protect civilians.
