Yesterday’s Open Market Dialogue (OMD) brought together private-sector partners, innovators, and ecosystem supporters for a collaborative and engaging session.
The conversations helped validate current market solutions, highlight existing challenges, and identify new opportunities in the circular economy and green-skills development for agropastoral communities.
These insights will directly support the design of the upcoming Sida - Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete Innovation Challenge, ensuring it is practical, market-aligned, and shaped by those working closest to the issues.

Joint Monitoring Mission for the SIDA III—Inclusive Livelihoods Project in Puntland, Somalia
Over the past week, a multi-sectoral delegation representing the Puntland MoPEDIC, line ministries, local authorities, CARE International Som, Action Against Hunger USA, and SomReP members conducted field visits to Eyl, Bossaso, and Badhan. The mission aimed to assess progress, validate results, and gather community perspectives of the Sida - Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete's SIDA III—Inclusive Livelihoods project in Puntland, Somalia.
Through Focus Group Discussions (FGD), Key Informant Interviews (KII), and direct field observations, teams engaged with communities from diverse livelihood groups, including women and youths.
This joint effort underscores SomReP’s commitment to fostering resilient, empowered, and climate-adaptive communities while strengthening government leadership in monitoring, learning, and accountability.
