Our Beginning
The Elman Peace Centre (ELMAN) is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization which was founded in 1990. The organization is dedicated to promoting and establishing durable solutions to peace, cultivating leadership empowering the marginalized and most vulnerable brackets of society to be decision makers in the processes that ensure their wellbeing. We provide innovative life-saving support services to those in need and strive to create a more enabling and progressive Somalia.
The organization operates throughout Somalia, with the bulk of its interventions currently in the most conflict laden regions of South and Central Zone. It has driven the lead on spectrum of innovative interventions ranging from purely humanitarian and life saving service delivery to development projects.
