The U.S.-proposed humanitarian truce is considered a request or proposal, not an order.

This is because the United States is not a direct party to the conflict in Sudan and therefore has no authority to issue binding orders to the warring sides. What it presents is a diplomatic initiative or political pressure, expressed through statements, negotiations, or potential sanctions.

The parties involved—such as the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces—have the right to accept, reject, or negotiate the proposal.

However, if the ceasefire is backed by the United Nations Security Council or an international coalition, it could carry strong political pressure, making it almost like an indirect order, especially if linked to sanctions or consequences.

In summary the U.S. humanitarian truce proposal is a request, not an order, though it may come with significant diplomatic pressure that makes rejection difficult.

Breaking | RSF Forces Announce Full Control of El Fasher, Including the Headquarters of the 6th Infantry Division

Nile Watch Magazine

The Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced on Sunday that they have taken full control of the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, including the headquarters of the 6th Infantry Division of the Sudanese Armed Forces, after fierce battles that lasted for several hours.

Field sources stated in a circulated report that the operation followed a “wide advance” by RSF troops inside the city, allowing them to seize key military positions and government facilities.

Meanwhile, the Sudanese Army has not yet issued any official statement regarding the situation in El Fasher or the fate of the 6th Infantry Division as of the time of this report.

Eyewitnesses confirmed sporadic clashes continuing in some eastern neighborhoods of the city amid growing concern among civilians, with many residents fleeing to safer areas.

If confirmed officially, the fall of the 6th Infantry Division headquarters in El Fasher would mark a significant development in the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Army and the RSF, which has been raging for over a year.
