A Partnership Rooted in Urban Reality
Today, World Vision Eswatini and the Municipal Council Of Mbabane signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together for the wellbeing of vulnerable children, families, and youth in the City of Mbabane.
As Mbabane CEO Gciniwe Fakudze reminded us, urban poverty is real. Behind dignity and resilience lie unemployed youth, elderly grandmothers struggling to survive in the city, child headed households, and orphans, often facing hardship without strong social support systems.
Through this partnership, we are combining strengths to deliver practical programmes that address poverty, child protection, youth skills development, and support to vulnerable households.
Speaking during the signing ceremony held at the Municipal Council offices, World Vision Eswatini National Director Amos Zaindi described the agreement as a shared commitment to creating meaningful and lasting change in urban communities.
“This MOU represents a common vision and renewed determination to work together for the wellbeing of the most vulnerable children, families, and communities within Mbabane,” said Zaindi, noting the organisation’s 2026–2030 strategy prioritises reducing hunger and malnutrition and ending violence against children, particularly in urban contexts where poverty is increasingly concentrated.
Together, we move with purpose and speed to create lasting change.
