Health Promotion Eswatini
Vaccination is a safe and effective way to prevent diseases and save lives-now more than ever. Many vaccine-preventable diseases can even result in death.
Today the health promotion unit in collaboration with the National Malaria Programme under the ministry of health successfully held a walk from Mayiwane to Buhleni town in commemoration of World Malaria Day. This event was attended by neighboring schools from Mayiwane and Ndzingeni Inkhundla. The aim was to sensitize, educate and raise awareness on Malaria which continues to affect people of Eswatini.
The day was commemorated through a walk, aerobics, health talk, dance and drama.
Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and seek immediate medical attention at their nearest health facility if they experience signs and symptoms of malaria such as fever, chills, headaches, body weakness, vomiting, or sweating. Early detection and treatment save lives. Together, we can prevent malaria and protect our communities.
Driven to end Malaria. Now we can. Now we must.
