Reposted from Gov. Gavin Newsom said redistricting changes being pursued by Republican-led states-especially actions that reduce black-majority districts-amount to “Jim Crow 2.0” and represents “stone cold racism.”

His remarks come after the Supreme Court’s Louisiana v. Callais decision, which struck down Louisiana’s race-based congressional map and encouraged other red states to redraw districts.
