เมื่อวานผมมีโอกาสได้จัดงาน Pitch Day ขึ้นที่ Game Dev Hub Bangkok ครับ
เป็นงานที่ผมได้มีการพูดคุยกับเพื่อนของเราอย่าง Red Dunes Games ผู้เป็นทั้งเกมพับลิชเชอร์ และนักลงทุนจากต่างประเทศ ผู้มองหาเกมใหม่ ๆ ที่เตะตาเขาอยู่เสมอ ให้มาร่วมงานด้วย
แน่นอนว่าเนื้อหาของงาน เป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้นักพัฒนาเกมในประเทศไทยและนักลงทุนต่างชาติ ได้พบปะพูดคุยกันอย่างเป็นกันเอง เหมือนกับการซ้อมได้อยู่ในสถานการณ์จริง ที่เราต้องสร้างความประทับใจและปิดการขายให้ได้ ภายในระยะเวลาสั้น ๆ
ผมเชื่อว่าตัวงานมีความเข้มข้น และเป็นประโยชน์ในตัวของมันเองอยู่แล้ว แต่มีหลายสิ่งที่ผมประทับใจและอยากจะบอกต่อให้ผู้ที่ไม่ได้มีโอกาสได้ไปร่วมงานได้ทราบกันครับ
1) ความเป็นกันเองและความจริงใจ เรื่องนี้ต้องยกเครดิตให้ Red Dunes ที่มาร่วมงานกับเราในลักษณะเหมือนเป็นเพื่อน เขาไม่ได้วางท่าวางมาดเป็นนักลงทุน แต่มาบอกเล่าประสบการณ์ และทิ้งคำแนะนำดี ๆ ไว้มากมายให้กับผู้ฟังในวันนั้น เช่น อย่าขายเกม Q4 นะ, เกมคือสินค้า แต่ตัวคนทำคือแบรนด์นะ, เรียนรู้เรื่องธุรกิจและการตลาดเอาไว้บ้าง, มั่นใจในตัวเองหน่อย เรื่องที่ว่ามาเหล่านี้ก็เป็นเรื่องที่เราอาจจะรู้ ๆ กันอยู่ แต่สำหรับเขา ซึ่งอยู่ในสถานะที่ไม่ต้องแชร์อะไรให้เราฟังก็ได้ แต่ก็ยังใส่ใจให้เวลากับคนมา pitch งาน ทำให้บรรยากาศมันอบอุ่นและน่ารักมาก ๆ
2) ขอบคุณมิตรสหายทุกคนที่ช่วยเหลือผมมาโดยตลอด ได้ยินมาว่าทุกคนบอกว่ามาร่วมงานนี้เพื่อช่วยผมเป็นการส่วนตัว ก็ต้องขอขอบุคณจากใจจริงครับ ไล่ตั้งแต่

คุณบาส คุณเชน FairPlay Studios ช่วยรันงาน ถ้าไม่มีพวกคุณงานล่มจมแน่นอน

คุณแอน คุณเชน Sunny Syrup Studio ที่นำข้าวจากนาตัวเองมาฝาก คลาสิกสุด ๆ
คุณไซ Vermillion Digital มาช่วยเรื่องเทคนิคและมา pitch แบบเทพ ๆ ให้คนดู(เกมใหม่แกโคตรโหดครับ น่าเล่นมาก)
และคุณนพ เกมถูกบอกด้วย v.2 ที่มาอยู่ทำข่าวจนจบงาน ผมดีใจเพราะรู้สึกเหมือนยุคใหม่ของวงการเกม ที่เดฟ สื่อ และภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ ต้องรวมตัวและขยับไปพร้อมกัน ได้เริ่มขึ้นแล้ว
3) แต่อีกสิ่งหนึ่งที่ดีที่สุดของงาน คือการสนับสนุนของคนในอุตสหากรรมเกมของเรากันเองที่มาร่วมด้วยช่วยกัน นอกจากการที่เราทุกคนมามองหาโอกาสแล้ว ผมเชื่อว่าเราต่างก็ได้เพื่อนใหม่กลับไปกันพอสมควร ทีมพัฒนาที่ไม่เคยเจอ ไม่เคยรู้จักกันเลย ก็ได้มาพบกัน และมีโอกาสได้ถามไถ่ช่วยเหลือกันต่อไปในอนาคต และทุกอย่างเกิดขึ้นที่เกมเดฟฮับ
มันเป็นสถานที่ที่มีมนต์จริง ๆ นะ

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to organize a Pitch Day at Game Dev Hub Bangkok.

It was an event made possible through conversations with our friends at Red Dunes Games, an international game publisher and investor who is always on the lookout for standout new games, and inviting them to take part.

Naturally, the core of the event was about creating an open, friendly space where Thai game developers and international investors could meet and talk. It felt like a real-world rehearsal, where you have a short window to make an impression and close a deal.

I believe the event itself was already intense and valuable, but there were several moments that truly stood out to me and that I’d like to share with those who couldn’t attend:

1) Friendliness and sincerity
This deserves full credit to Red Dunes Games. They joined us not as distant investors, but as friends—sharing their experiences and leaving the audience with many thoughtful insights, such as:
Don’t release your game in Q4, Your game is the product, but the people behind it are the brand, Learn some business and marketing, Be more confident in yourself.

These are things we may already know, but the fact that they took the time to share, despite having no obligation to do so, and genuinely engaged with every team pitching made the atmosphere incredibly warm and welcoming.

2) Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported me
I was told that many people attended simply to support me personally, and for that, I’m truly grateful. My sincere thanks go out to:

Aj. May (BugBlio Studio) for helping elevate the professionalism of the event

Bas and Shane (FairPlay Studios) for running the event, without you, it would have fallen apart

Aj. Ping (Secret Character), now officially a Professor! 😄

Ann and Shane (Sunny Syrup Studio) for bringing Raw rice from their own farm, absolutely classic

Xsi (Vermillion Digital) for technical support and an incredible pitch (your new game is insanely impressive and looks amazing)

Nop (Sheapgamer v.2) for staying to cover the event until the very end. Having you there made me feel that a new era of the game industry, where developers, media, and all sectors move forward together, has truly begun.

3) The strongest part of the event: our community
Above all else, the best thing about this event was the support from within our own game industry. Beyond seeking opportunities, many of us walked away with new friendships. Teams that had never met before finally connected, exchanged ideas, and began helping one another, right there at Game Dev Hub.

the place is really magical.

We were truly honored to welcome Red Dunes Games, our valued publishing partner, to Bugblio Studio and to be a part of a Pitch Day that opened real opportunities for Thai game developers

As a partner, we sincerely appreciate Red Dunes Games not only for visiting our office, but for actively creating space for Thai developers to showcase their work, connect closely with international investors, and exchange ideas in a meaningful way.

Events like this reflect how collaboration can move the Thai game industry forward together 🤝
