𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 from access to education and health care to jobs, protection, and opportunity. Yet despite its impact, housing is still too often treated as a standalone issue rather than a foundation for sustainable development.

When housing is placed at the centre of national and local policies, it can drive progress across multiple goals, reducing poverty, advancing gender equality, strengthening resilience, and creating more inclusive and sustainable communities.

These critical conversations will take centre stage at the World Urban Forum , taking place from 17–22 May 2026 in Baku.

Convened by UN-HABITAT, will bring together global leaders and communities under the theme: “𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝: 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬.”
