We love the traditional costumes of the Akha tribe, and although they are one of the smallest hill tribe groups in Southeast Asia, Akha women are famous for their beautiful, elaborate and distinctive traditional costumes - Taking great pride in both their appearance, and culture.

One of the many ‘Out buildings’ at The Black House in Chiang Rai (or Black Temple as some call it) is the life’s work of Thai artist Thawan Duchanee. It is more that just a single house, there are over 40 separate buildings here, all filled with curiosities of the world. It certainly takes some figuring out, and there is probably no good conclusion you will reach! One thing’s for certain, it’s a unique and unmissable sight.
