OEDC - ရဲ့ Network ထဲက အိုင်တီကိုလည်းစိတ်ဝင်စားတယ် ဘာတွေ ဆက်လုပ်ရမယ်မှန်းမသိဘူး။ ဘယ်ကနေပြီးစရမယ်မှန်းမသိတယ့် ညီငယ်/ညီမငယ်လေးများအတွက် အထူးကို recommended ပေးပါတယ်။ ဒီ - စာသင် စာမျက်နှာကနေတစ်ဆင့် scholarship ရယူပြီး အိုင်တီ chapter One ကိုစတင်လိုက်ကြပါ။

MIL Week: A Collaboration Between Migrant Students and OEDC Former Interns

In what is called the digital age, information constantly flows to those living through it, reaching them from various platforms moment by moment.

In this context, the ability to discern whether the incoming information is genuine or fake becomes a necessity.

Only by having this ability can one critically analyze and consider the intentions of those who create and transmit the information.

Therefore, Media and Information Literacy (MIL) has become a fundamental requirement of the digital age.

This year, to promote the topic of MIL, students from the migrant learning center, *New Road (လမ်းသစ်) Learning Center*, collaborated with young former chef interns from OEDC.

This program was organized on October 25th through the joint effort of OEDC and the former chef trainees from internship batches 1 and 2.

# # # What is Global MIL Week 2025?

Global MIL Week is a worldwide event led by UNESCO and held annually from October 24 to 31.

Its main objective is to promote "Media and Information Literacy (MIL)" among people around the world, especially youth.

The main theme for this year, 2025, is "Minds Over AI – MIL in Digital Spaces" (Human's Mental Power over AI - Media and Information Literacy in the Digital World). The main conference was held in Cartagena, Colombia, on October 23-24.

This theme primarily focuses on discussing how Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are changing the way we receive information and create data.

The main reason for holding this week is that as AI technologies become increasingly prevalent in daily life, it is becoming more difficult to distinguish which information is real and which is Disinformation (fake news and false information) created by AI.

Therefore, the skill known as MIL has become extremely important.

MIL is the ability to critically evaluate and reflect upon the news, photos, and videos we see online without immediately believing them, asking questions like: Who created this? What is their intent? Is the evidence reliable?
