Word Magic Week: Discovering Compound Words!✨

📅 Day 2 | Finding the Hidden Words!🔍

Today the children became word detectives as they looked for the two smaller words hidden inside compound words such as snowman, mailbox, and jellyfish.✨🕵️

By breaking the words into smaller parts, the students practiced recognizing familiar words within a larger word.

Today in our Sunday class, we did our first activity to introduce our lesson on reading comprehension. 📚

The students worked in pairs and small groups. Each team was given phrase cards that were parts of a sentence. One student wore a phrase card, while the partner read the phrase aloud. The student wearing the card then listened carefully and wrote down what their partner read.

After that, each team read their sentence aloud to the class.🗣️📚

This activity helped prepare the students for our main topic—reading a story and understanding it better.
