Interactive Intelligence: IoT and Data Visualization in Architecture
จะเป็นอย่างไรถ้าพื้นที่ที่เราอยู่ ไม่ได้เป็นแค่สิ่งก่อสร้างนิ่ง ๆ แต่สามารถรับรู้ความรู้สึก พูดคุย และปรับตัวตามพฤติกรรมของเราได้แบบเรียลไทม์

ชวนมาดูไอเดียเปลี่ยนพื้นที่ให้มีชีวิตผ่านผลงานของนักศึกษาในรายวิชา AR653 User Experience Design and Interaction in Architecture และ AR686 Design and Decision Support Systems in Architecture ที่นำเสนอการออกแบบที่ผสาน IoT, Data Visualization, User Experience Design และ Decision Support Systems เพื่อพัฒนาพื้นที่ที่สามารถรับรู้ วิเคราะห์ และตอบสนองต่อข้อมูลจากผู้ใช้งานและสภาพแวดล้อมได้อย่างมีเหตุผล
นักศึกษาได้ทดลองสร้างระบบต้นแบบที่เชื่อมโยงเซนเซอร์ ข้อมูลแบบเรียลไทม์ การออกแบบปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพฤติกรรมหรือสภาพแวดล้อม และการแสดงผลข้อมูล เพื่อใช้เป็นเครื่องมือสนับสนุนการออกแบบและการวิเคราะห์พื้นที่ ผลงานเหล่านี้สะท้อนให้เห็นบทบาทใหม่ของสถาปัตยกรรมในฐานะ “ระบบอัจฉริยะ” ที่ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงพื้นที่ใช้งาน แต่สามารถสื่อสาร เรียนรู้ และตอบสนองต่อบริบทของมนุษย์และสภาพแวดล้อมได้

งานออกแบบเก้าอี้ไม้ไผ่ลอยน้ำ ถ่ายทอดผ่านโครงสร้างไม้ไผ่ที่มีความยืดหยุ่นและเบา สื่อถึงความพลิ้วไหวและการเคลื่อนไหวอย่างอิสระ

งานออกแบบชิ้นนี้เริ่มต้นจากการตั้งคำถามต่อพฤติกรรมของคนรุ่นใหม่ที่เลือก “นั่งมองคลื่น” เพื่อเยียวยาจิตใจ ซึ่งสะท้อนความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมนุษย์ ธรรมชาติ และสภาวะทางอารมณ์ พื้นที่ริมน้ำจึงถูกมองใหม่ในฐานะ “พื้นที่สุขภาวะ” ที่มีศักยภาพ แต่ยังขาดสื่อกลางที่ทำให้ผู้คนมีส่วนร่วมกับน้ำได้จริง
โครงการจึงพัฒนา “เก้าอี้ลอยน้ำ” โดยใช้แนวคิด Experience-driven Design ควบคู่กับการวิเคราะห์การเคลื่อนไหวของคลื่น แรงลม และการทรงตัวของร่างกาย เพื่อเปลี่ยนบทบาทผู้ใช้งานจาก “ผู้สังเกต” เป็น “ผู้มีส่วนร่วมกับสภาวะแวดล้อม” รูปทรงถูกสังเคราะห์จากพฤติกรรมของคลื่นและพัฒนาเป็นโครงสร้างที่รองรับแรงน้ำได้จริง ผ่านองค์ประกอบของ Laminated Bamboo Strip และเชือกที่ให้ความยืดหยุ่น น้ำหนักเบา
ในระดับวัสดุ โครงการสำรวจศักยภาพของไม้ไผ่ท้องถิ่น ในฐานะวัสดุโครงสร้างและผลิตภัณฑ์ สุขภาวะ โดยทดสอบการประกอบการรับแรง และความปลอดภัยในการใช้งานทั้งบนบกและบนน้ำ
ผลลัพธ์ คือ “ระบบประสบการณ์” ที่เชื่อมโยงร่างกายกับธรรมชาติ ช่วยลดความเครียด และเปิดโอกาสให้พื้นที่ริมน้ำถูกนำมาใช้สร้างคุณค่าใหม่
งานชิ้นนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าสถาปัตยกรรมสามารถเป็นกลไกในการสร้างสุขภาวะควบคู่กับการใช้วัสดุอย่างยั่งยืน โดยไม่ต้องพึ่งพาวัสดุสังเคราะห์หรือพึ่งพาน้อยที่สุด และสะท้อนแนวคิดว่า วัสดุ + บริบท + พฤติกรรม คือพื้นฐานของการออกแบบในอนาคต

This project begins by questioning the behavior of a new generation that turns to “watching the waves” as a form of emotional healing. It reflects the relationship between human, nature, and emotional states. Waterfront spaces are therefore reinterpreted as “well-being environments” with strong potential, yet lacking a medium that allows people to physically engage with water.
The design develops a floating chair based on an experience-driven approach, combined with the analysis of wave movement, wind forces, and body balance. It shifts the user’s role from a passive observer to an active participant within the environment. The form is derived from the behavior of waves and translated into a structure capable of responding to water forces, constructed through laminated bamboo strips and rope, providing flexibility and lightness.
At the material level, the project explores the potential of local bamboo as both a structural and well-being material. Through testing of assembly methods, load performance, and safety across both land and water conditions, the outcome becomes a “system of experience” that connects the human body with nature. It encourages stress relief while activating waterfront spaces as new areas of value and engagement.
This work demonstrates how design can act as a mechanism for well-being while utilizing sustainable materials, minimizing reliance on synthetic resources. It reinforces the idea that material + context + behavior form the foundation of future architectural design.
