My transition is complete...I have gone full Euro. The f***y pack is there, and it is wrapped around my chest.

At least I didn't buy the shirts with the f***y packs sewn in though.

I think we have a candidate for a new Polish tongue twister...

Thank you

Poland has many unique qualities, but one that has always impressed me is the care given to the dead and cemeteries.

Every cemetery is overflowing with lanterns and flowers (and in modern times fake flowers and battery-powered candles).

People keep their family graves clean.

Sometimes flowers are planted directly from the grave or little benches are constructed so a family member can sit while they remember the dead.

Gravestones are sometimes renewed for those that have been dead for decades.

All this beauty has to be ruined at some point, and this happens when you hit the "1940s section" of the cemetery.

The last few graves pictured here show POWs that died in camps, displaced people buried away from their birthplace which was now on the other side of a new border, and young kids murdered by "Hitlerite bandits".

Sad but important to know and honor.
