The 3rd day of the Erasmus+ mobility Prioritizing the people and places that need the most project UP2NEB was exciting! 🇮🇹✨

During Day 3 of the mobility Prioritizing the people and places that need the most, participants focused on structuring and clustering the insights gathered from field research in the Certosa area. Through collaborative brainstorming sessions, they identified key challenges affecting the neighborhood, including mobility safety, lack of pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, fragmented public space, and limited green areas.

Building on these findings, participants worked in groups to develop more specific, solution-oriented ideas. Emphasis was placed on sustainable and inclusive urban interventions that could improve everyday life for residents while aligning with New European Bauhaus principles.

One of the proposed concepts was a “Sustainable Sidewalk” approach, rethinking pedestrian pathways as multifunctional spaces that integrate greenery, permeable materials, seating areas, and safe cycling connections, creating more livable and climate-resilient streets.

The day was marked by active co-creation, critical thinking, and the transformation of field observations into concrete urban design ideas for the Certosa district.

At the end of January, the mobility Regaining Sense of Belonging took place in Ankara within the UP2NEB Erasmus+ Project. The programme combined field exploration, NEB Talks, and design thinking sessions, guiding participants from understanding community needs to developing and testing youth-led solutions. The process concluded with final pitches, where ideas were presented to external youth workers and refined through feedback.

Check the experience from the 3 groups on the youtube video and on our website:
